The People Who Build
the Ground Beneath You

Construction worker in worn safety vest standing beside heavy road roller, bitumen on his boots, direct gaze

Rameshbhai Patel

"You feel the road settle under the drum. That vibration — when it goes quiet and smooth — that is when you know."

Rameshbhai has operated every roller Blacktop has owned since 2007. He reads compaction by feel before the gauge confirms it. Eighteen monsoon seasons have not changed his standard: if it is not level, it stays on the drum.

Udhna Industrial Estate Access Road

2.1 km, 2022 — Compacted in 38°C heat without a single repass. Client reported zero settlement after the 2023 monsoon.

Site supervisor in hard hat reading a grade sheet on a clipboard at a road construction site, focused expression

Dilnawaz Shaikh

"The grade sheet does not lie. Neither does rain. Both will expose whatever you tried to hide in a hurry."

Dilnawaz joined as a levelling assistant in 2013 and never left the site. He runs the grade checks personally on every pour — morning, midday, and before the roller makes its final pass. Municipal engineers on the Surat Municipal Corporation contracts ask for him by name.

Katargam Ward 12 Road Resurfacing

6.4 km, 2024 — Completed 11 days ahead of SMC deadline. Zero snag-list items on handover inspection.

Older businessman in forties crouching at the edge of a freshly paved road examining the surface closely, confident posture

Jayeshbhai Desai

"I started with one paver and a crew of four. The machine has changed. The obsession with the edge has not."

Jayeshbhai founded Blacktop in 2001 after a decade laying roads for a Vadodara contractor. He returned to Surat with the conviction that the city deserved work done the way Surat makes cloth — with patience, heat, and no shortcuts at the finish. He still crouches at every newly rolled edge before signing off.

Vesu Residential Township Entry Road

1.8 km compound approach, 2023 — Broom-finish kerb-to-kerb. Housing society chairman sent a letter to SMC commending the crew unprompted.

Woman engineer in safety helmet reviewing documents at a construction site, professional and focused

Priyanka Nair

"Mix design is where the road is built or broken. By the time the paver arrives, my work is already done."

Priyanka holds a degree in Civil Engineering from SVNIT Surat and joined Blacktop to run the materials lab. She specifies every bitumen grade, aggregate gradation, and binder content before a single tonne leaves the plant. Her Marshall Test records go back seven years without a failed batch.

Hazira Industrial Corridor Patch Programme

4,200 sq m of loading dock repairs, 2024 — Mix specified for 40-tonne axle loads. Zero reflective cracking after six months of heavy freight.

Four Types of Work.
One Standard of Finish.

Every job gets the same obsession over grade, mix, and compaction — whether it is a 6-kilometre resurfacing or a 50-square-metre patch.

01

Municipal Road Resurfacing

Monsoon-battered arterials and ward roads brought back to grade. We work to SMC specifications, coordinate traffic management, and hand over with full compaction records.

02

Industrial Yard & Loading Dock

Heavy axle loads demand mix design, not guesswork. We specify binder grade and aggregate size for your freight tonnage — then we compact it to match.

03

Compound & Approach Roads

Housing societies, schools, and commercial complexes. Kerb-to-kerb finish with broom texture, proper crossfall for drainage, and a surface your residents will notice.

04

Patch Repair & Pothole Works

Precision milling and infill — not just cold mix thrown in a hole. We cut square, tack-coat, and compact hot-mix so the patch outlasts the road around it.

Site Visit

A site visit costs you nothing. It takes forty minutes. You get an accurate scope, a realistic timeline, and a fixed price — not a range.

We visit Surat and surrounding areas Monday through Saturday. Bring your grade drawings if you have them.
